Please review our operating guidelines and standards to assure a smooth, efficient, and successful experience for your breeding program.
For frozen semen shipments, we strictly request a 3-day notice. We understand that this is sometimes not possible; however, in cases where less than 3 days notice is given, there will be stat fees imposed depending on the urgency.
The stud dog owner’s account must be paid in full before semen can be released.
We are a high-volume export clinic and receive a tremendous number of inquiries for our global export and import services. We pride ourselves on our customer service.
We require that export/import correspondence be done strictly via email. We have found that when put in writing, complex bloodwork timelines and customs documentation are better understood and mistakes are entirely minimized.
We have an email address dedicated strictly to imports and exports: [email protected].
We send all semen shipments via Federal Express. All shipments are billed safely to our account, and we then bill the client. This ensures the client’s credit card is not placed on sensitive airbills floating around the shipping network.
We will only ship using our FedEx account. In some cases, it goes missing or gets delayed; we cannot assist in the insurance claims process if our account was not used for the shipping.
Please review our Shipping Instructions prior to sending samples to our clinic. This contains our correct laboratory address and full instructions on weekend shipments.
In most cases, we will ask you to send the shipment FedEx HOLD FOR PICKUP at the Grass Valley office. We are not open on the weekends, so we cannot accept direct deliveries of any shipments at the front door. DO NOT SHIP UPS TO US ON WEEKENDS!
Our semen release policy guarantees 1-4 breeding units will be ready within 3 days. If you need a bulk semen transfer (more than 4 breeding units), or a complete records transfer, we reserve the right to take up to 30 days to process this securely.
If you are requesting record transfers for bitch information (previous progesterone testing or TCI procedures), we will have them ready within 30 days from receipt of request. While we often have them ready sooner, we cannot guarantee it.
We accept several ways to pay your invoice. We can send a secure invoice link to complete either a bank transfer or credit card payment, and there is also a PayPal option available.
For international payments made via credit card or PayPal, the processing fee is 3% of the total invoice. For specific Bank Transfers, the convenience fee is a flat $18.00.
Dog registries all have varying and different requirements for DNA testing of a dog utilizing fresh chilled or frozen semen. Please check directly with your specific registry (like the AKC) for testing requirements and obtain a DNA kit directly from them.
Once you have received your dog's DNA profile number back, please forward it to us to safely attach to your file.
Annual storage fees are charged once a year, directly on the anniversary of when the dog was safely collected and frozen. These are billed per dog, not per unit. There is no cap on how much semen can be stored for that one rate.
From the time of invoicing for annual storage, there is a 30-day grace period to transfer or use any semen to avoid the storage fee entirely. If your dog's semen remains after the 30-day period, the full rate will be charged. There is no prorating of semen storage for any unused time during the year.
Happy, healthy, stress-free dogs make happy, healthy, stress-free puppies.
That's the Sirius Canine Fertility promise.
